We were honored to reconnect with our longtime supporter, Dr. Anita Rich, at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. Dr. Rich, an award-winning nurse leader and founder of Nurses Heart to Heart, has been a key partner since joining our team for the first-ever heart surgery at Benjamin Mkapa Hospital in 2021. Her ongoing support in nurse training and capacity building continues to strengthen our mission.
We also met with Dr. Jacob Kariuki, Associate Professor at Emory University, to discuss collaborations focused on improving nursing capacity and addressing non-communicable diseases in Tanzania.
We are grateful for the warm hospitality during URITHIFEST 2025 and remain committed to building sustainable partnerships that advance cardiovascular health in our region.
